Ms. Kris enjoys interacting with all ages of children and their families every day. She values the positive relationships that are created and believes that there is no better investment than to invest in the lives of young children. She is a lifelong learner and loves to have fun.
Jackie has been with the Longmont KinderCare for over sixteen years. She started in the Toddler room and quickly moved into the Assistant Director role which she has held for twelve years. Jackie loves to spend her extra time with her family, especially her four grandchildren.
Ms. Dawn attended Kearney State College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She taught school for two years before moving to Colorado where she taught another four years as a substitute. KinderCare became her home when she realized that her passion was for the younger children. In the classroom, hands on learning and one-on-one interaction is the way Ms. Dawn builds self-confidence in the children each day. She loves coming to work and helping each child be successful at their everyday learning experiences.
Ms. Terra went to Front Range Community College in 1998 and took a couple of Early Childhood Education classes with a T.E.A.C.H. scholarship. Ms. Terra has been working with children since 1993, first starting out at a in-home daycare, then as a nanny, cementing her feet in the childcare and preschool center environment. She has worked with children ages from 6 weeks to 13 years old. Ms. Terra attended the Institute of Business and Medical Careers in 2011 for a medical background to be a "daula" for expecting mothers while giving birth. Ms. Terra also works with the youngest children in the nursery at her church.
Ms. Lavinia has been with KinderCare, as our chef, since 2013. Ms. Lavinia shtarted working in child care as a teacher and cook assistant at the same center she attended as a young child. Ms. Lavinia loves her job as our chef and enjoys the time that she gets to spend in the classrooms as well. She enjoys watching the children learn and grow.
